LOD SCRIPT

UV SNAPSHOT SCRIPT

This is a script for use in Maya that automatically creates LOD(Level Of Detail) meshes that can then be previewed in Maya through a custom attribute on the corresponding meshes.

In the first version of Autodesk Maya 2018, UV snapshot didn’t work correctly in the UV editor. I therefore created a custom UV snapshot script using the built-in snapshot function in Maya to streamline our pipeline. 

The script allows you to select several meshes and export their respective UVs with a filename corresponding to the name of the mesh.
